Tiirismaa Trail 8 km - at XX:XX - NEW ROUTE
The 8 km of Tiirismaa has been completely renovated, and now the route has been made easier in terms of climb. This is a route that is well suited for first-time trail runners. Young people under the age of 16 also compete on the same route, for many perhaps their very first trail event. The renovated route heading towards Tapanila runs partly in the same landscapes as the Tiirismaa Winter Trail, but mainly on different trails. The route heading towards Tapanila starts immediately with technical trails and the stunning shoreline scenery of Lake Vesijärvi. The approximately 3 km stretch of beach is completely exceptional in Finnish trail running – rarely do trails run so spectacularly right next to the water. From the beach, there is a long climb towards the highest point in Lahti. The 8 km is suitable for those who want their first trail experience or want to come and enjoy the atmosphere of the event, even with a group of friends. There is one (1) service point along the route.
The second most popular route on the Tiirismaa Trail has been the 12 km route over the years, which offers an intense challenge with a climb profile that is enough to challenge even the most experienced runner. The route heading towards Tiirismaa includes all the essential climbs and descents – tough trail running without any unnecessary sections. This route is especially suitable for those who want a challenge in a concise package or are taking their first steps towards longer and more demanding trail events. The schedule also allows for family participation: 8 km and 16 km routes will be run in the morning, and 12 km in the afternoon. There are two (2) service points along the route.

The schedule also allows for family participation: in the morning we run 8 km and 16 km distances, in the afternoon 12 km – nothing more than negotiations at home.
